Rum Providence Distillery Port-au-Prince is the newest rum distillery in the Caribbean, having opened in 2018 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The project began as a collaboration between the Barbancourt-Laundry family (descendants of the famous Barbancourt rum dynasty) and the fruit of this partnership is the new rum brand, Providence. The new distillery rediscovers the methods and techniques used by the Barbancourt Distillery from 1870 to 1946 Tasting Notes The profile is natural and fruity with an intense, enveloping nose of fresh cane, berries and light acidity. The palate is smooth, mellow and full of pineapple, strawberry and brown sugar. The elegant finish is infused with fresh cane juice, herbs and pepper.
