Lind’s Gin and Lyme The first dose arrived coming from Port of Leith Distillery in Edinburgh in the form of the name being inspired by Dr. James Lind of Edinburgh, who conducted one of the first clinical trials on board a ship and in these trials, he noticed that scurvy patients who ate citrus fruits showed good signs . Hence the addition of lime within this gin to balance the strong citrus freshness. The distillers also used pink peppercorns along with five other botanicals including juniper to create the recipe.
